Ohana One is thrilled to spotlight our incredible Field Coordinators for Africa, Peter Ronoh and Cecilia Ronoh, as well as introduce a passionate new member of our team, Sara Stohl. Each of them embodies dedication to expanding global surgical education and advancing access to quality healthcare.
Peter Ronoh
Peter, a seasoned Biomedical Engineer and founder of Molgen Scientific, officially joined Ohana One in October 2024. With expertise in critical care systems, he is advancing precision medicine and empowering under-resourced communities across Sub-Saharan Africa. Peter’s work ensures seamless mentor-mentee connections, supports partner NGOs, and brings innovative solutions like smart glasses technology to life-saving surgical outreach programs.
Peter’s vision to use smart glasses for training surgeons in under-resourced areas aligns with his extensive experience in critical care and patient monitoring systems. His leadership at Molgen Scientific aims to bridge diagnostic and procedural gaps in healthcare by leveraging cutting-edge technology. Peter’s passion for reducing surgical disparities and enabling local solutions to specialized surgical needs is central to his role at Ohana One.
Cecilia Ronoh
Cecilia, Co-Director of Molgen Scientific, joined Ohana One in November 2024, sharing her expertise in using technology to bridge healthcare gaps. From coordinating smart glasses programs to establishing virtual skills labs, Cecilia’s passion lies in providing accessible care and education to underserved regions. She is driving impactful change through telepresence technology and training, fostering opportunities in rural and low-resource areas.
Cecilia’s work focuses on identifying medical students and trainers in Africa who need innovative tools like smart glasses to enhance their learning and teaching. By establishing virtual skills labs and connecting students with global mentors, Cecilia is equipping healthcare professionals to tackle challenges in low-resource and remote areas. Her efforts with Televu’s telepresence technology and her commitment to improving grassroots healthcare reflect Ohana One’s mission to reduce disparities and improve health outcomes.

Sara Stohl
Sara began her role with Ohana One in October 2024, inspired by her studies on health inequality and global health issues. As part of our team, Sara is supporting our mission through messaging and content creation. Her passion for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and dedication to spreading awareness aligns perfectly with Ohana One’s vision. In her short time here, Sara has already made an impact with her enthusiasm, creativity, and collaborative spirit.
Sara’s typical day involves creating content, researching global health topics, and meeting with the Ohana One team to amplify our mission. Her favorite part of the job? The welcoming, inspiring colleagues who share her passion for tackling global health disparities. Outside of work, Sara enjoys sci-fi, music, and studying Mesoamerican archaeology.
